


Several people were shot Wednesday afternoon at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas campus and the suspect is deceased, local law enforcement officials said.
The identity of the suspect has not been released and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sheriff Kevin McMahill said that he did not have information about a possible motive at this time.
“No more threat to the community. The suspect is deceased. Right now, we know there are three victims, but unknown extent of the injuries,” he said in a subsequent statement. “That number could change. We will update you when we know more.”
The shooting prompted an overwhelming response from law enforcement officials, according to various videos posted online.
