Hollywood star Pedro Pascal recently revealed his bizarre encounters with “Game of Thrones” fans, including posing with them for selfies, which he said resulted in him contracting an “eye infection.”

During the 48-year-old’s appearance on a recent episode of The Hollywood Reporter’s Actor Roundtable, Pascal, who played Oberyn Martell, said he would often get asked by “GoT” fans to take “selfies with their thumbs” in his eyes in an effort to recreate his character’s final scene, People magazine reported.

“I remember, earlier on, because of ‘Game of Thrones’ and the way my character died, people were super into taking selfies with their thumbs in my eyes,” Pascal said.

“At first, I was so earnest and happy about the success of the character in the show, and I’d let them,” he added. “In New York, of all places!”

Pascal said the result of these selfies left him with “a bit of an eye infection.”

In season four, Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane, played by Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, gouged Pascal’s character’s eye out in a fight to the death.

Pascal has since gone on to play the disguised hero on the hit Disney+ series “The Mandalorian” and, more recently, as one of the lone survivors in a world that’s been struck by a Zombie apocalypse in HBO’s “The Last of Us.”

The HBO star recently made headlines when he responded to a nickname fans have given him: “Daddy.” He said that he’s “not a daddy. And I’m not gonna be a daddy!”

“Yeah, I am having fun with it,” Pascal said.

“It seems a little role-related,” he added. “There was a period where ‘The Mandalorian’ is very daddy to baby Grogu, and [his ‘The Last of Us’ lead character] Joel is very daddy to Ellie. These are daddy parts. That’s what it is.”

The Chilean-born actor is not married and has no children. He’s been a supporter of LGBTQ issues due to his sibling, Lux Pascal, identifying as transgender.
