A group of 17 hostages — including 13 Israeli citizens and 4 Thai nationals — arrived back in Israel on Saturday after being held hostage for nearly two months by Hamas terrorists.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that the Red Cross transferred the hostages out of Gaza and into Egypt to the meeting point at Kerem Shalom.
The hostages were then taken back to Israel to undergo initial medical assessments and several were transported to hospitals for additional treatment.
The 13 Israeli nationals who were released from captivity included Shoshan Haran, 67; Adi Shoham, 38; Yahel Shoham, 3; Naveh Shoham, 8; Shiri Weiss, 53; Noga Weiss, 18; Maya Regev, 21; Hila Rotem, 12; Emily Hand, 9; Noam Or, 17; Alma Or, 13; Noam Avigdori, 12; and Sharon Avigdori, 52.
