NextImg:J.K. Rowling Gives No Quarter To Hamas Defenders: ‘Sniveling Apologists For Rape, Murder, And Torture’

Author J.K. Rowling made her position abundantly clear in an unequivocal X post on Tuesday, calling out not only the Hamas terrorists who attacked Israel over the weekend, but those who would defend Hamas and claim their actions were “justified.”

Rowling made her point in response to a heartbreaking news report out of the Middle East that revealed 40 babies — some whom had been beheaded — were among the dead recovered when Hamas had finished with Kibbutz Kfar Aza.

“Now let the snivelling apologists for rape, murder and torture explain how this, too, was justified,” Rowling responded.

As Rowling predicted, the apologists quickly came out in force — and claimed in a litany of different ways that “this, too, was justified.”

Multiple campus groups at Harvard University came together and published a joint statement that blamed Israel for the brutal attacks — which have so far left close to 1,000 Israelis dead and hundreds more wounded, tortured, or kidnapped.

“We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence,” the statement began — and concluded by encouraging Palestinians to take “a firm stand against colonial retaliation.”

Several sitting members of Congress in the United States — including Reps. Cori Bush (D-MO) and Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) — referred to Hamas’ unprovoked and horrific attacks as “resistance” and called for the U.S. to cut off all aid and funding to Israel in the wake of the attacks.

Los Angeles Times investigative reporter Adam Elmahrek simply suggested that the story was propaganda, likely fabricated by the Israeli military in an effort to garner sympathy and stir hatred against Palestinians.

“The only source for ‘Hamas beheaded babies’ appears to be the Israeli military, which is widely known to spread lies and disinformation[.] Journalists, this is the fog of war. You’ll be seeing all sorts of claims. Don’t amplify unverified, sensational info,” he claimed.

But a number of reporters and officials — from all over the world — have borne witness and then given voice to that story and others, each one more horrific than the last.
