NextImg:Elon Musk Responds To Twitter Restricting ‘Sensitive’ Daily Wire Film, Candace Owens Fires Back With Pointed Question

Twitter owner Elon Musk responded late on Thursday to his platform restricting The Daily Wire’s “What Is A Woman?” by calling the hit documentary “sensitive content” and saying that the company’s systems were going to be updated tomorrow.

When the entire hour-and-a-half documentary was uploaded to Twitter at 8:13 p.m., the film was quickly restricted and received a label that read: “Visibility Limited. This Tweet may violate Twitter’s rules against Hateful Conduct.”

The designation on the film blocked Twitter users from being able to retweet or share the video with their audiences. The video garnered 5,000+ retweets/quote retweets in just a couple of minutes after being published before it was restricted.

“That was fast,” Daily Wire co-CEO Jeremy Boreing responded. “Even after ⁦@elonmusk ⁩said Twitter’s threat to label What Is A Woman ‘hateful conduct’ and to throttle the film’s reach was a mistake, Twitter did that very thing instantly upon the film going live.”

Musk, who earlier in the day said that some people at Twitter made a “mistake” by restricting the film and that it was “definitely allowed,” responded to his company restricting the film just moments after The Daily Wire launched the documentary on the platform.

“We’re updating the system tomorrow so that those who follow @realDailyWire will see this in their feed, but it won’t be recommended to non-followers (nor will any advertising be associated with it),” he wrote.

Musk added, “Commenting & deliberate sharing will be allowed. Sensitive content just won’t be pushed to people unless they ask for it or a friend sends it to them.”

Daily Wire podcast host Candace Owens fired back at Musk by calling out his claim that the film was “sensitive content.”

“What specifically is sensitive about a 2 hour documentary that asks people ‘what is a woman’?” Owens asked. “Positively ludicrous to refer to this content as sensitive. People are sensitive. The content itself is not.”
