On Wednesday morning, Donald Trump Jr.’s X account was hacked, as messages posted immediately had people suspicious about their legitimacy.

In the space of half an hour, posts from the account read:

I’m sad to announce, my father Donald Trump has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024.

Richard Heart is innocent, when I become president I am going to burn the SEC.

The posts have since been deleted from Trump Jr.’s account. X’s help website gives these instructions if a user believes their account has been hacked:
