Bryce Dallas Howard said Christmas with her famous actor/filmmaker father Ron Howard is like one of his famous movies, “Parenthood,” but “less dysfunctional.”

The 42-year-old actress said spending the holidays with her family, which now includes a pack of kids, “feels exactly like” the 1989 classic film, which Howard directed, People magazine reported.

“I mean exactly,” Howard told the outlet. “It’s less dysfunctional in terms of all the adults, but just in terms of the chaos and the love and little tense moments and then reconciling.”

“Parenthood” includes a host of famous stars like Steve Martin, Mary Steenburgen, Rick Moranis, and Keanu Reeves, just to name a few.

A description on IMDb read,“Four Buckman siblings attempt to raise their children — each in their own different style — and deal with the joys and sorrows that the process brings.”

The “Spider-Man 3” star recalled being only seven years old when her dad was filming the movie and how excited she was to be part of it.

It was the “first time I was allowed to officially be an extra. And it was amazing,” Howard added, noting that the movie, through all the chaos, is “just this celebration of the madness and wonder that is being a part of a large family.”

The “Jurassic World” star said this year the “entire family” is traveling to Australia, where her father is shooting a movie, so they can be together, and she’s looking forward to the escape.

“It’s going to be beautiful and warm and all of that, but we do a lot of cookie making and stuff,” the superstar actress added.

And more recently she’s followed in her father’s footsteps, directing three episodes of the Disney+ series “The Mandalorian.”

“I love directing and it’s as important to me as acting and it’s always been happening in the background,” Howard said. “I hope it’s something where I’m lucky enough to do both…in every decade of my life.”
