The Islamic Republic of Iran launched missiles against at least one U.S. military base in the Middle East Monday in retaliation for the U.S. strike on its nuclear facilities over the weekend, according to news reports.
Iran reportedly launched missiles toward Qatar.
“The White House and the Department of Defense are aware of, and closely monitoring, potential threats to Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar,” a senior White House official told The Daily Signal.
An Israeli and an Arab official confirmed the news of the missiles to Axios. The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times have also reported the strikes.
The Daily Signal has reached out to the White House, Defense Department, and the State Department for comment.
The news comes days after President Donald Trump announced Saturday that the U.S. had bombed three Iranian nuclear sites.
