Over the last 10 days or so you may have noticed the site being slow or inaccessible. We’re sorry. We have been doing a massive database cleanup (18 years of images, analytics, articles, etc).

No articles were harmed in the performance of this cleanup.

Some images hit the trash bin, a ton of meta data found its way to another place, and some unused user accounts got DOGE’d.

We have some more work to do to clean up our mess and improve the performance of the site you have come to love.
