Jen Psaki is a rising star at MSNBC, not because of her talent or resume, but because those above her on the network roster are being rightly eliminated. Psaki was a below-average press secretary who made famous the response, “I need to circle back on that,” which was code for “I am totally unprepared to respond. This was a tactic that her replacement at the Brady podium, KJP, perfected, even as the size of her binder took on biblical proportions.” Both spokespeople also perfected the daily lies that nearly destroyed the credibility of the White House communications department.
With a mass shooting of police in Pennsylvania, leaving three officers slain, and the President making a historic second state visit to England, Psaki believed the suspension of Jimmy Kimmel usurped both of these major stories, and the reason for that is obvious. The Kimmel story is self-serving, as a wing of the Democrat misinformation machine is under attack. The walls of the House of Cards are caving in, and the people are demanding better.
Kimmel and his show have been removed indefinitely from the ABC nighttime lineup because of inappropriate comments he made this week about the shooter of Charlie Kirk. I would ordinarily have to call him the alleged shooter, but since he confessed in a “touching and romantic” text to his male lover, I can drop the alleged. ABC was responding to its advertisers, who were pulling massive blocks of ads based on public response to Kimmel’s comments.
The late-night shows on the three major networks have been taking a beating in the ratings and falling further behind Gutfeld on FOX NEWS. Kimmel may have been making a poor attempt at humor, but the public is not ready to insert humor into a sad story where the remains of Charlie Kirk have yet to be buried. Stephen Colbert has already been canceled, and with Kimmel sent to the penalty box, it leaves only Jimmy Fallon to spread the Left’s agenda.
Psaki is spewing the talking point that these actions against TV personalities are a resurgence of the cancel culture invented by the Left. Cancel culture involves the destruction of a person’s credibility through the use of the Justice Department and Social Media. Capitalism drives these current actions. If these talk-show hosts cannot recognize that they are only catering to half of the market and the revenues continue to erode, the networks have a responsibility to their shareholders, not their high-priced talking heads to take action, and that includes suspension or cancelation. ABC in particular is bleeding on both ends with the controversial The View in the morning and Kimmel at night. Maybe they would be safer to show the Peacock from sundown to sunup.
For her prime-time show, The Briefing with Jen Psaki, on MSNBC, Jen Psaki’s ratings for May and June 2025 showed a significant decline compared to the previous hosts in that time slot. Psaki’s show took over the 9 p.m. slot from Tuesday to Friday in early May 2025. She may want to start writing her own show’s obituary.
