Daily Caller News Foundation reporter Myles Morell caught up with Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on a sunny afternoon in D.C. He appeared to ask Omar about the situation in El Salvadore and the deportation of illegal criminals. It may have been sunny, but the words out of Omar’s mouth were salty. She responded quickly and told the reporter to “F&^% off.” Maybe caught off guard, or perhaps he could not believe his ears, he repeated his question, and Omar repeated her response. That was the end of the conversation and also an example of the lack of decorum presently with the Left wing of power in our nation’s capitol. Years ago, there was a level of respect between politicians and the press, but certainly not today. The Democrat Party has become the master of the seven-second sound delay. Whether at rallies, interviews, or one-on-one interactions, the message has turned dark for the folks to the Left of center. It could be frustration or anger at losing their power base in Washington. The men and women of the Left are now the purveyors of lies and vulgarities. The Democrats have lost their way, and their message and their frustration is manifesting in four-letter expletives. The news now comes with a PG-13 rating!
Omar is not a one-off. This use of the colloquialisms of the gutter has been going on for months. Adam Schiff used his forked tongue on a late-night talk show, and how can we erase the vision of a parade of Reps and Senators taking their turn at the microphone to express their trash talk about Elon Musk? By the way, Musk was their darling boy symbol of the Green Movement a year ago before he finally saw the Democrats for what they are: an irrational group of directionless and leaderless political hacks, many of whom openly hate America and now have to resort to locker room cussing to draw attention away from the fact they have no message.
They also have no respect for themselves, the media, who they need, and most of all, their constituents. If a media member asks a question, they are doing so on behalf of the public, or they should, unless it is for feeding an agenda for the questioner. That question deserves an answer, and telling the reporter to F’ Off is not a choice. The Democrat Party is suffering its lowest approval rating in history. For many voters, the antics of and emptiness in the Party do not matter. As Nancy Pelosi rightly said in a moment of consciousness, a coffee cup with a big “D” emblazoned on it in some blue districts could win. That thinking does not give much credit to the voters. Still, they have elected her to the office for forty years, thought Biden was sharp and coherent, and actually thought Kamala Harris could be the President of the United States. I guess voters who just pull a Party lever don’t deserve much credit.
