Abby Phillip: “At the end of the day, I mean, if he’s in the files, just like a lot of the other people who might be in there because they associated with Epstein at one point, just own up to it,” argued Phillip. “Why doesn’t he just do that?”
Scott Jennings: “Own up to what?”
CNN Newsnight with Abby Phillips, 7/24/25
CNN host Abby Phillip asked senior political commentator Scott Jennings directly Wednesday why President Donald Trump doesn’t “just own up to” being named in the sought-after Justice Department files on late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. … And it all seems [boldface added] that that is because he knew something was in there that was incriminating to him.”

Former AG Bill Barr told Congress that he never saw any information in the Epstein files that would link President Trump to any crimes. The revelation was made by House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) after Barr testified in a closed-door interview during the House Oversight Committee … Barr [added] that if there had been anything alarming about Trump in such files, it would most likely have been leaked by the Biden administration.

Legal scholar and Fox News contributor Jonathan Turley says that, according to interview transcripts recently released by the Department of Justice, Ghislaine Maxwell exonerates President Donald Trump from any illicit involvement in Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking operation. [Melanie Trump] insists [that she found in Donald] a man who in private appears rather different from the Donald Trump the wider world has come to know: “He revealed himself as a gentleman, displaying tenderness and thoughtfulness.”
The Daily Mail, 8/10/24
I saw Donald Trump’s true character in 2009 when he came to my defence. He didn’t like how I was being treated and told me that he wanted to help me with anything I wanted to accomplish in life … [H]e stood by me, … He didn’t have to … but he did. He always stands for what’s right, regardless of the attacks. He refuses to bow down to political correctness. That’s what I love about him. He’s a man of his word. When he says he’ll do something, he does it. I always tell people … how he loves to help people [and] wants to see people succeed—I am living proof of that.

After winning the [Miss Wisconsin] title in 2005, [Melissa Young] was told she had a terminal liver disease. Despite the grim prognosis, Melissa continued to be an inspiration to many. She made headlines in 2016 when she expressed her gratitude to then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, who had previously owned the Miss USA pageant, for his support during her illness.

Former Miss USA Contestant Melissa Young: I’ve been struggling with an incurable illness and [voice trembling] I received a handwritten letter from that said “To the bravest woman I know”.
Trump: Are you doing ok?”
Young: I’m not doing ok because I am here to thank you in person. That was my biggest dream.
Trump: We’re going to be watching your boy.

More Epstein stuff kicked out on Friday. Zero importance. … [N]o direct evidence has surfaced. The Trump-haters are desperate to tie him to criminality in the matter. Awful. Due process once again spit on by [many] terrible Americans.

One of the storylines the Democrats, with the essential support of the Democrat Party Propaganda Collective or DPPC (aka the “mainstream” or “legacy” media) cooked up to stay in money, power and sanctimony is that president Trump is an uncaring narcissist who mistreats women. Yes, they have Stormy Daniels, a stripper who was arrested for fondling customers and who always seems to be looking for a suitcase full of money from men. And yes, the charges against her were dropped on the technicality that she was only a visitor to the club, not a regular performer. Apparently its not illegal for visiting performers to fondle the customers (that being a lucrative activity). And they have her lawyer Michael Avenatti, who also always seems to looking for a suitcase full of money from anybody he can finger, but he is currently in prison for a very long time. And they have a few other women but the charges never seem to go anywhere. They certainly don’t have a book by Trump’s daughter that says he took “inappropriate showers” with her when she was underage that may have led to her sexual problems. One can only imagine the Democrat and DPPC frothing eye-bulging hyperventilating state of hysteria if they did. Since that was Joe Biden’s daughter, however, the DPPC seemed uninterested.
The only problem is that they don’t have any evidence, that is, real evidence, for this latest hoax and they have much prima facia evidence that the story is not true. One has the testimony of several accomplished people under oath who have actually seen the evidence (imagine that) and have stated that Trump is not linked to any crimes in the Epstein matter. One has the testimony of distinguished legal scholars like Jonathan Turley that Trump does not appear to be compromised by any of the evidence. In addition, with regard to the attempt of Trump’s enemies to claim that Trump mistreats women, one has the testimony of numerous high profile women in his orbit that Trump has always been an “absolute gentleman” with them.
Accordingly, the Democrats and the DPPC must attempt to will the Trump-Epstein scandal into existence ex nihilo (from nothing) just like they did with the Trump-Russia collusion hoax that did so much damage to the nation. To take just one example, CNN’s Abby Phillip, on her regular laughing, giggling and talking-over-conservatives show, opines that because of the alleged fact that it “seems” (weasel word) that Trump that is “apparently named” in the Epstein files, he needs to “own up” to that “seeming” fact. Unfortunately, the most Abby has is the alleged abstraction that Trump is “apparently” (weasel word) named in the Epstein files, which convicts him of precisely nothing. For that could be true even if Trump is “named” in the Epstein files only in the sense that someone said, as Ghislane Maxwell recently did, that Trump did nothing wrong. Duh!!! For Democrat Party propagandist Abby, however, it is, apparently, an “explosive revelation” that something void of determinate meaning and legally insignificant is “apparently” true.
It would be nice if the “news” media, or, more precisely, what’s left of it, would start waiting until they have actual evidence before they start smearing a conservative.
One is not advised to hold one’s breath.
