Our word salad, once-upon-a-time Vice President, Kamala Harris, said during the 2024 presidential campaign, that we should not be burdened by events that have occurred in the past. But recently she made a speech in which she was trying to energize her Democrat audience when she said that Democrats could win future elections because “we’ve done it before, and we’ll do it again”. So what does she really believe: not to repeat what’s failed in the past, or do it all over again?
Maybe she was just scrambling her words again, but she can’t believe the contradiction of getting rid of past, failed practices and policies, and then preaching that “we can do it again”. It’s hard to believe that her words have any meaning at all when one word contradicts the next, as we heard in her most recent speech.
If she really learned anything from her political loss in 2024, and wants to win an election in the future, maybe she should formulate plans that correct her mis-steps in 2024 and try to communicate a revised and wiser plan in the future. But her promise to “do it again” doesn’t confirm that she learned anything from her past errors and will change those failed things in the future.
But Democrats, in their defeated misery, are simply chanting 1960’s gibberish on street corners and yelling insults at Trump into the wind on Capitol Hill, ever since Trump soundly beat them in 2024, and they haven’t seemed to be able or willing to learn from the common sense, reasonable policies of Donald Trump, let alone his calm and humorous demeanor and his method of speaking, all of which placed him in the White House.
If Kamala tries to “do it again” in a future election, then she’ll lose the next election again, just like she lost the last one. If she wants to “unburden ourselves with what has come before”, then she needs sensible, reasonable policies to run on, and she is not sharing any reasonable, sensible listing of policies with Americans, yet.
Kamala’s past words and the Democrat party’s past policies are her “burden” to cast off, and we’ve seen no indication that Democrats regret allowing twenty million illegal aliens to enter our nation; no indication that they see anything wrong with allowing men to compete with girls in sporting events; no indication that they think it’s insanity to pretend that men can birth children and breast feed babies; that they want to put a stop to anti-Semitic demonstrations in college campuses; that they waged law-fare against Donald Trump in 2024 in an attempt to keep him from running for president; nor that Biden’s hasty retreat from Afghanistan was a total, monumental failure and an insult to our nation.
The radical, constitution-hating Democrat party of Biden/Harris appears to be incapable of reforming itself, and the Democrat party will remain a party roaming in the political wilderness until more sensible people get control and begin remaking their message and policies for them.
