NextImg:‘Travesty of Justice’: Trump Found Guilty on All 34 Counts in NY NDA Case

“The verdict is a travesty of justice,” House Judiciary Chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) declared Thursday after former President Donald Trump was found guilty of all 34 counts of his Constitutionally-dubious case alleging tax violations regarding a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Immediately after the verdicts on the so-called “hush money” charges were announced, Chairman Jordan took to social media to draw attention to a handful of the myriad troublesome aspects of the suspect, politically-motivated prosecution:

“The Manhattan kangaroo court shows what happens when our justice system is weaponized by partisan prosecutors in front of a biased judge with an unfair process, designed to keep President Trump off the campaign trail and avoid bringing attention to President Biden’s failing radical policies.”

“Americans see through Democrats' lawfare tactics and know President Trump will be vindicated on appeal,” Jordan concluded.

Jordan’s reaction and fears for the country were widely echoed by conservatives on social media.

“This was a sham show trial. The Kangaroo Court will never stand on appeal. Americans deserve better than a sitting U.S. President weaponizing our justice system against a political opponent— all to win an election. We must FIRE Joe Biden in November,” Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R-Texas) wrote.

The former president’s son, Donald Trump, Jr., was even more blunt and graphic in his analysis:

“Guilty on all counts. The Democrats have succeeded in their years long attempt to turn America into a third-world sh*thole. November 5 is our last chance to save it.”

Trump’s attorneys are expected to quickly appeal the decision.
