(CNSNews.com)— In Massachusetts, Superintendent of Abington Public Schools Peter Schafer has allowed a book that discusses sexual activities into public libraries for children. The book, written by author Juno Dawson, is titled “This Book is Gay” and, as reported by Fox News Digital, discusses “orgies, kinks, fetishes, sex apps,” as well as a wide variety of other sexually explicit topics.
Fox News Digital asked Superintendent Shafer if he was “aware that the book discusses the following, among other things: orgies, kinks, fetishes, sex apps, bath house, [a] casual hookup, [and] detailed information on how to have anal sex, as well as other sexual activities.”
“After reading the entire book and understanding it in full context, I decided to put it back in the library,” Shafer responded.
“This Book is Gay” is marketed by the publisher as “a funny and pertinent book about being lesbian, bisexual, gay, queer, transgender, or just curious- for everybody, no matter their gender or sexuality.”
Grindr, the dating app for the LGBTQ community, is featured in the book and has an alarming warning for minors using the app. Although the book mentions that a person must be 18+ to use the app, it casually states, “‘If you are on Grindr under the age of 18 (it happens) be aware that swapping ‘adult’ pics is actually illegal – you are distributing child pornography, even if it's of yourself."
The book describes the author’s experience with Grindr, saying, “The benefits are obvious: quick, easy, and uncomplicated sex… I’ve met a variety of interesting people… I don’t have a problem with that aspect of it-if people want casual sex, then something like Grindr is a must."
The book also discusses topics of sex meets, sex parties, the “kink community,” and the use of sex toys.
On the topic of sex parties, the book promotes the use of saunas as a legal means of obtaining “some random sex”:
“Saunas, or 'bath houses,' are dotted all over the country, and they are perfectly legal. People (many saunas run lesbian nights) pay some money to enter and then have a bit of a sauna and some random sex. Again, this is fine as long as you're safe.”
The book also explains how the author doesn't like using dildos:
“Let's talk about dildos: I think a lot of people assume that where there is no penis, a desperate sexual void is created, out of which something [bleep] shaped must ultimately slot in order to satisfy," the book said. "I've only ever slept with two women who enjoyed using dildos. I hate wearing a strap-on. I've only ever done it once and NEVER AGAIN!"
