Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) called “Bull**t” on Kimberly Cheatle Monday when the Secret Service director claimed she didn’t know how media obtained the text of her opening statement to a House hearing hours before she made the statement at the hearing.
At a House Oversight Committee hearing, Cheatle was grilled on how the Secret Service allowed a would-be assassin to shoot former President Donald Trump at a July 13 rally.
Rep. Mace: "Would you say leaking your opening statement to Punchbowl, Politico’s Playbook and Washington Post several hours before submitting your comments to this committee is political?"
Dir. Cheatle: “I have no idea how my statement got out.”
Rep. Mace: “Well, that's bullsh*t.”
Rep. Mace became increasingly infuriated as Cheatle repeatedly obfuscated and refused to directly answer questions.
“You’re full of s— today. You’re just being completely dishonest,” Mace told Cheatle.
