NextImg:Rep. Jordan: ‘Why Won’t They Just Let We The People Decide Who We Want Representing and In Office?’

The American people – not the government and powerful politicians – should choose the nation’s elected representatives, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) declared Wednesday, commenting on leftist Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s prosecution of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump, the leading candidate for the 2024 Republican nomination, was arraigned and charged with 34 counts by Bragg’s office on what, legal scholars say, is an extremely weak case.

The next day, House Judiciary Chair Jordan, who is also leading a “Weaponization of Government” subcommittee, noted in a “Fox & Friends” interview that that left-wing officials have been relentless in their unjust and dishonest efforts to interfere with elections:

“What I do know is the left never stops:

“It 2016, they spied on his campaign.

“2018, it was Mueller investigation

“2020, it was suppressing the Hunter Biden laptop story

“2022, it’s raiding his home 91 days before the election

“And, now, it’s this, in the run-up to the 2024 presidential election.”

“Why won’t they just let We The People decide who we want representing and in office?” Rep. Jordan asked, rhetorically:

“Why do they always have the FBI or the Left get involved in every single election, trying to put their finger on the scale?”

“They’ve been out to get President Trump ever since he went into public life and ran for office,” Jordan said, explaining that the Left hates the former president because he’s more interested in fighting for American systems, instead than in preserving the political establishment:

“I think it’s because he’s actually fighting for We The People and not fighting for the establishment of the Swamp here. And that’s the key problem I think the Left has with President Trump.”
