(CNSNews.com) - President Donald Trump predicted on Saturday morning that he will be arrested on Tuesday, based on his alleged $130,000 hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016, to prevent her from disclosing their alleged affair before the election.
Trump wrote the following message in all-caps on his Truth Social platform:
"NOW ILLEGAL LEAKS FROM A CORRUPT & HIGHLY POLITICAL MANHATTAN DISTRICT ATTORNEYS OFFICE, WHICH HAS ALLOWED NEW RECORDS TO BE SET IN VIOLENT CRIME & WHOSE LEADER IS FUNDED BY GEORGE SOROS, INDICATE THAT, WITH NO CRIME BEING ABLE TO BE PROVEN, & BASED ON AN OLD & FULLY DEBUNKED (BY NUMEROUS OTHER PROSECUTORS!) FAIRYTALE, THE FAR & AWAY LEADING REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE & FORMER PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, WILL BE ARRESTED ON TUESDAY OF NEXT WEEK. PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!"
Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), chairman of the House Oversight Committee who is leading an investigation into alleged influence-peddling by Joe Biden's family, said it's "very odd" that word of Trump's potential indictment in New York would come out the day after the Oversight Committee revealed bank records showing that "the Biden family, the president in particular, hasn't been truthful with respect to his family receiving payments directly from the Chinese Communist Party."
Comer said the Trump news almost looks like an effort to distract from the alleged Biden influence-peddling case:
"But at the very least, it's another example of a two-tiered system of justice," Comer said.
"Look, we have been looking into these classified documents. We saw the FBI raided Mar-a-Lago for one set of supposedly mishandled classified documents, but yet Joe Biden's had at least five different locations of mishandled classified documents, and they give him days and days to go in and clean up with his attorneys.
"So, it just looks to me like it's another example of a two-tiered system of justice at the DOJ."
(National Security Council spokesman John Kirby told "Fox News Sunday" that the Biden administration is "watching" the potential for Trump's supporters to protest, if Trump is indicted: "We're watching it, of course, closely. We want to see if there are protests of any kind about any issue quite frankly, let alone this, that they're peaceful.")
One deal disclosed, 11 more to go
Comer said his committee has bank records involving one deal, in which a million dollars from China's Communist Party was distributed to members of the Biden family.
"This is one deal," Comer told "Sunday Morning Futures."
"We think there are as many as 11 more deals. Now, we don't know what those deals are. With the Bidens -- in the beginning, the White House denied having any knowledge or the fact that their family was involved in any sort of way, shape, or form with the CCP.
"But now we have bank records that reveal otherwise. We don't know what the Bidens did in return for this money. The lawyer said that it was seed capital for a business. We haven't been able to find a business, Maria. We're going to have an opportunity to ask people about that that were closely aligned with the Biden family.
"We have talked to them privately. I'm not going to reveal what they say privately. But, very soon, they will either be talking to everyone in the form of a deposition or, even better, in a committee hearing.
"But, right now, it looks like the Biden family just pocketed this money. This is one deal. We have 11 more to go. And I'm pretty confident we will be getting more bank records in very soon."
The House Oversight Committee has asked John “Rob” Walker, a Biden family associate, to appear for a transcribed interview.
The committee noted in a press release that bank records show that from 2015-2017, "Biden family members -- Hunter Biden, James Biden, Hallie Biden, and an unknown 'Biden' -- and their companies collectively received over $1.3 million in payments from accounts related to Rob Walker. Most of the payments to the Biden family came after Rob Walker received a $3 million wire from a Chinese energy company."
Comer told Maria Bartiromo on Sunday that "the Biden family had agreed to help China...get their foot in the door in the American energy industry, not just purchase liquefied natural gas, but also purchase interest in drillers for natural gas, as well as trying to do things like help China buy farmland.
"Remember, this is something that every American's outraged over. There's bipartisan support in Congress to try to block China from coming in and taking over various interests of our American economy. And now we learn that the Biden family was directly involved with helping China navigate the federal bureaucracy and the sanctions involved with the U.S. government.
"So this is very concerning," Comer said. "And this is why we're going to continue this investigation of Joe Biden. And, remember, it's an investigation of Joe Biden."
On Friday evening, as he prepared to leave the White House, a reporter asked President Biden if he had "any reaction" to the allegations about his family's dealings:
"My family dealings?" Biden asked.
"Yes, your (inaudible) that Hunter Biden’s business associate sent over a million dollars to three of your family members. Any reaction to that?"
"That’s not true," Biden said.
"I don't think the White House ever dreamed we would get bank records," Comer said on Sunday.
"I have got bad news for the White House. This is just the beginning. We're going to get a lot more bank records, and they're going to have to continue to backpedal and come up with some type of reason why the Biden family has received millions and millions of dollars from our adversaries."
