“I was embarrassed for my sex,” conservative commentator and podcast Host Megyn Kelly said, reacting to how hysterical female senators attacked Secretary of Defense nominee Pete Hegseth during Tuesday’s Senate confirmation hearing.

"Why do the women have to be these hysterical fools? Why can't they be more dignified?” Kelly asked in a video posted on social media. While Kelly conceded that a male, Sen. Tim Kane (D-Va.), was “the worst” and “most disgusting” of the Democrats verbally assaulting Hegseth, she did give him credit for keeping his composure.

At least Kane “wasn’t like a hysteric,” Kelly said, contrasting his performance with that of female Senators Mazi Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Kristen Gillibrand (D-NY):

“Mazie Hirono is so dumb, I can't believe she's a U.S. senator.

“Kirsten Gillibrand was like: 'Women can be in combat, you hurt our feelings!' It was like 'Oh my god, you are undermining the very cause that I know you so desperately want to promote right now.”

Indeed, during the hearing, Sen. Gillibrand argued that women are tough enough to serve in the military – by whining about how she felt some of Hegseth’s past comments were “hurtful,” “terrible,” “brutal” and “mean.”

Hirono, for her part, accused Hegseth of wanting to invade Greenland and to shoot protesters in the leg.

“So, I was embarrassed for them. I was embarrassed for my sex and how they were behaving today," Kelly concluded.

Kelly wasn’t alone in calling out the hyper-emotional comments and behavior of the female Democrats who grilled Hegseth:
