Israel’s Security Cabinet has reportedly approved the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) entering Rafah – and has the weapons it needs to wipe out Hamas there, even if U.S. Pres. Biden makes good on his threat to stop sending weapons to help Israel defend itself from the murderous terrorist group.

After withhold the shipment of bombs to Israel last week, Pres. Biden said Wednesday that he would withhold additional weaponry and ammunitions from Israel, if it advances into Rafah.

The next day, the Israeli security cabinet voted to approve the move of forces into the Hamas stronghold, Axios reports:

“Amid growing U.S. concerns about the humanitarian situation in Rafah, the Israeli security cabinet approved last night the ‘expansion of the area of operation’ of the Israel Defense Forces in the southern Gaza city, according to three sources with knowledge of the details.”

”If we need to, we will fight with our fingernails,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Thursday.

“But we have much more than fingernails,” Netanyahu added.

Indeed, IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari has confirmed that “The IDF has armaments for the missions it is planning, including missions in Rafah. We have what we need.”

Prime Minister Netanyahu also said this week that his country is prepared to “stand alone,” if it must in order to defend itself from Hamas.

While Biden claims that his threat is an effort to prevent broad civilian casualties, he is actually withholding the very types of weapons that would enable Israel to specifically target terrorists and avoid hitting civilians.

Nonetheless, Israel’s military said Friday that it will conduct a “precise counter-terrorist operation in specific areas of eastern Rafah,” Bloomberg reports:

“The army is on a mission to destroy terrorist infrastructure and secure the area, where its forces located weapons and tunnel shafts and eliminated dozens of militants, it said.”
