NextImg:DoD: $400 Million in 'Additional Security Assistance' for Ukraine in Biden’s 33rd Drawdown

(CNSNews.com) – On Mar. 3, the Department of Defense (DoD) announced the drawdown of $400 million worth of “additional security assistance” for Ukraine, raising the total value of assistance provided to $30.1 billion since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on Feb. 24, 2022.

According to a Mar. 3 press release, Biden’s 33rd drawdown will include the following capabilities:

-- Additional ammunition for High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS);

-- Additional 155mm artillery rounds;

-- Additional 105mm artillery rounds;

-- Additional 25mm ammunition;

-- Armored Vehicle Launched Bridges;

-- Demolition munitions and equipment for obstacle clearing;

-- Testing and diagnostic equipment to support vehicle maintenance and repair;

-- Spare parts and other field equipment.

“To meet Ukraine’s evolving battlefield requirements, the United States will continue to work with its Allies and partners to provide Ukraine with key capabilities,” said the DoD.
