Democrats stand for DEI, “which really means ‘division, exclusion, and indoctrination,’” Florida Governor Ron DeSantis told the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on Monday.

“The woke mind virus” of radical DEI (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion) dogma is now dead in Florida and returning Donald Trump to the White House will give America the chance to eradicate the misguided ideology nationwide, the Republican governor told his audience:

“For decades, my home state saw elections determined by razor-thin margins. Today, due to bold (Republican) leadership, the Democrat Party lies in ruins, the Left is in retreat, freedom reigns supreme, the woke mind virus is dead and Florida is a solid Republican state.“

“Now, electing Donald Trump gives us the chance to do this all across America. And, we have a responsibility to step up and make it happen,” DeSantis said, noting the absurdity of Democrats’ DEI policies:

“They stand for DEI, which really means ‘division, exclusion, and indoctrination’ – and it is wrong.

“They mandated that you show proof of a COVID vaccine to go to a restaurant, but they oppose requiring proof of citizenship to cast a vote.

“They can’t even define what a woman is.”

In contrast, the Republican Party’s values reflect the nation’s founding principles, when it comes to issues like education, parents’ rights, law and order, national security, taxes and fiscal responsibility, DeSantis said.

“Now, none of this is easy, but it can be done,” DeSantis said.
