“If you want to know who the most crooked people in Washington are, Biden just put out a list,” Media Research Center (MRC) President Brent Bozell said Monday, following President Joe Biden’s last-minute pardons of a slew of controversial figures before leaving the White House.
On Monday, Biden’s pardons included:
Prominent members of the select House committee investigating January 6 that sought to find Trump guilty of crime included Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Vice Chair Liz Cheney (R-WY), Zoe Lofgren (D-CA), Adam B. Schiff (D-CA), Jamie Raskin (D-MD) and Adam Kinzinger (R-IL).
The committee’s tactics were one-sided and denied Trump virtually any opportunity to refute charges or present a defense. Additionally, Republicans were not allowed to choose their own minority members of the committee.
Biden also pardoned several family members on Monday, including:
Last month, Biden pardoned his son Hunter, who had faced tax and gun charges, and who was also under suspicion of influence-peddling during his father’s term as vice president – after repeatedly insisting he would not pardon him.
“As President, I have used my clemency power to make that promise a reality by issuing more individual pardons and commutations than any other President in U.S. history," then-President Biden boasted Monday.
