The New York Daily News reported on April 12: “A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot execution-style and a second 17-year-old was wounded in a melee that stretched down two sets of staircases at a Bronx subway station, police said Tuesday.

“Police said the slain teen, who was shot in his head, arm and shoulder, was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center by medics but could not be saved," the Daily News reported.

Another murder took the life of a 26-year-old man.

The Daily News described it this way: “The victim was found shot once in the head at the intersection of E. 123rd St. and Lexington Ave. around 6:20 p.m., according to cops.

A 25-year-old man was shot to death last Thursday on Staten Island.

“The unidentified victim suffered a gunshot wound to the head about 10:45 p.m. in front of a home on Wright St. near Van Duzer St. in Tompkinsville, according to cops,” said the Daily News.

A 45-year-old man was shot outside a cemetery early on Saturday morning.

“Devon Millington was outside Woodlawn Cemetery near the corner of Jerome and Bainbridge Aves. About 5:45 a.m. when he was shot in the head, cops said,” the Daily News reported.

In reporting a murder that occurred on Saturday, the Daily News story carried this headline: “Three kids home when ex-con stabs woman to death in East Harlem apt.”
