NextImg:Report: Media Begrudgingly Begin to Acknowledge the Public’s Increasing Opposition to Today’s High Level of Immigration

Following Monday’s release of results of a Gallup survey on immigration, establishment media have begun to begrudgingly report, and downplay, Americans’ growing disapproval of President Joe Biden’s open border policies, a new analysis finds.

According to Gallup, 63% of American adults are now dissatisfied with immigration and 40% want immigration decreased – a sign Americans are unhappy with the four-fold increase in immigration over the past two years:

"The recent shift in U.S. attitudes no doubt reflects the situation at the Southern border, where the U.S. government reported a fourfold annual increase in migrants attempting to enter the U.S. in 2021, with the figure rising to 1.7 million."

"The percentage who are dissatisfied out of a desire for less immigration has risen sharply over the past two years, increasing from 19% in 2021 to 35% in 2022 and 40% today," Gallup reported.

And, while the liberal, legacy media have enthusiastically cheered on and staunchly defended Biden’s open border policies, they’ve finally begun to admit the public’s true sentiment, Breitbart reports in an analysis published Wednesday.

Quoting articles published by Axios, Business Insider, USNews.com, and The Washington Post, Breitbart makes the case that Monday’s Gallup results, on top of similar findings of other recent polls, has finally forced the liberal media’s hand.

Still, “Some outlets tried hard to downplay the rising opposition shown by Gallup’s poll,” Breitbart says, noting how media reports – and even the original Gallup article – have tried to spin, obscure and deemphasize the survey’s findings.
