Americans rank former President Donald Trump as both the best – and the worst – president of the last five, results of a new Rasmussen poll reveal.

Trump, who was both impeached and acquitted twice, was ranked “the best president” by 36% of the 1,000 American adults polled in the survey, conducted February 13-15, 2023. Barack Obama came in second, drawing 30% of the votes for best president.

Bill Clinton, another impeached and acquitted former president, received only 8% of the votes for best president, as did the nation’s current Commander-in-Chief Joe Biden.

“Which one of the five most recent presidents has been the best president?”

Asked to name “the worst” of the last five presidents, Trump again came out on top, with 41% of the vote. At 36%, Biden ranked second-worst.

“Which one of the five most recent presidents has been the worst president?”

The survey of 1,000 American Adults was conducted on February 13-15, 2023 by Rasmussen Reports.
