



A 6-year-old girl and a man wounded in a shooting Saturday evening at a home in Woodlawn on the South Side.
They were inside the home about 5:10 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Drexel Avenue with two other people when someone took out a handgun and opened fire, Chicago police said.
The girl was shot in the arm and taken to Comer Children’s Hospital, where she was listed in good condition, police said.
The man, 33, was struck in the back and taken to University of Chicago Medical Center, police said. His condition wasn’t immediately known.
The shooting happened just hours after a 3-year-old boy was wounded in a separate shooting at another home two miles south. Police said the boy was shot in the face inside a residence in the 8800 block of South Euclid Avenue. He was also taken to Comer Children’s Hospital for treatment, where he was listed in serious condition.
Further details haven’t been released.
Police have not announced arrests in either case.
