Two men were wounded in a shooting Wednesday night at a beach in Evanston, according to Evanston police.
#Evanston PD is off at a shooting in the 1800 block of Sheridan. This incident is not affiliated with @NorthwesternU . Police are on the scene. No indication of an active shooter. More info coming.

The incident occurred just south of Northwestern University’s campus in the 1800 block of Sheridan Drive, police said. The men were transported to an area hospital for treatment.
But the incident is not connected to Northwestern University, police said.
In response to the shooting, the university issued a shelter-in-place order until further notice.
No one was in custody.
