“Rob Schneider: Woke Up in America” (Fox Nation): The former “SNL” star puts his two cents in in this new stand-up special.
“Ridley” (PBS, 8 p.m.): A retired detective (Adrian Dunbar, “Line of Duty”) is called back in to consult on a tough case in this new mystery drama.
“The Walking Dead: Dead City” (AMC, 9 p.m.; also BBC America): Franchise odd couple Maggie and Negan (Lauren Cohan, Jeffrey Dean Morgan) spin off into their own show.
Monday
“Juneteenth: A Global Celebration for Freedom” (CNN, OWN, 5 p.m.): Gospel great Kirk Franklin, 1990s girl group SWV and Questlove from the Roots are among the stars taking part.
“Do the Right Thing” (TCM, 5 p.m.): A Juneteenth marathon kicks off with Spike Lee’s powerful 1989 drama about racial tensions in Brooklyn.
“Xernona Clayton: A Life in Black & White” (Bounce TV, 6 p.m.): An unsung hero of the civil rights movement has her story told in this new documentary.
“Black Pop: Celebrating the Power of Black Culture” (E!, 8 and 9 p.m.; concludes June 20): This new four-part special salutes Black Americans’ contributions to sports, entertainment and the arts.
Tuesday
“Independent Lens” (PBS, 10 p.m.): The 2022 documentary “Mama Bears” profiles two conservative Christian mothers who stepped up to defend the rights of their LGBTQ+ children.
Wednesday
“Extraordinary Birder With Christian Cooper” (Disney+) The Black birdwatcher who was falsely accused of threatening a woman in Central Park in 2020 hosts this new nature series.
“Secret Invasion” (Disney+): “I’ve had it with these expletive-deleted Skrulls!” says Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) in this new sci-fi/action drama set in the MCU.
“China’s Corporate Spy War” (CNBC, 7 and 10 p.m.): This new documentary investigates allegations of industrial espionage against America’s biggest economic rival.
Thursday
“The Bear” (FX on Hulu): Where’s the beef? That is the question in Season 2 of this acclaimed comedy set in a Chicago restaurant. With Jeremy Allen White.
“Skull Island” (Netflix): King Kong is master of his domain in this new animated series inspired by the classic 1933 creature feature.
“Trippin’ with Anthony Anderson and Mama Doris” (E!, 10 and 10:30 p.m.): The “black-ish” star treats his mom to an extended European vacay in this new series.
Friday
“I’m a Virgo” (Prime Video): A reclusive 13-foot-tall Black youngster (“Moonlight’s” Jharrel Jerome) stretches his legs in this new coming-of-age comedy set in Oakland.
“The Perfect Find” (Netflix): Gabrielle Union gets her groove back in this 2023 rom-com set in the fashion industry.
“World’s Best” (Disney+): A 12-year-old math wiz wants to add “rapper” to his resume in this 2023 fantasy comedy. With Manny Magnus.
