


WEDNESDAY’S HIGHLIGHTS
BASEBALL
Ryan Dugan batted 3-for-3 with four RBI to pace Lynn Classical (15-1) to a 16-1 Greater Boston League win over Chelsea to secure the league title.
In nonleague action, Tyler Kropis went 2-for-3 with a game-tying two-run triple and Grayson Baldizar added a game-winning RBI single as Seekonk (14-2) outlasted Diman 3-2. … Ben Sepeck went 2-for-4 with a game-tying double, and Michael Boutiette delivered the game-winning hit as Cardinal Spellman beat Abington 7-6 in nine innings.
Junior Joe Rogan earned the win with eight strikeouts over six strong innings while also going 1-for-3 with an RBI as Plymouth South (6-8) doubled up Patriot League opponent Scituate 4-2. … Pacing the offense was Ryan Carrol (3-for-5), Cam Beltramini (2-for-5, three RBI, Brandon Craven (3-for-3, two RBI), Matt Phelps (2-for-3 three RBI) and Zach Nye (4-for-5, three RBI) as Whitman-Hanson outslugged Marshfield 19-9. … Gabe Knudsen gave up two runs and five hits over seven innings, striking out 11 while Cole Hendrickson and John McDonald had two hits apiece as Hanover pulled away for a 9-2 win over Pembroke. … Jake Schulte threw a two-hitter with one walk over six innings and drove in three runs at the plate as Hingham (8-8) rolled to an 11-1 win over Plymouth North.
In the Bay State Conference, senior Dan Surette pitched six strong while allowing two hits and striking out 13 in a 6-1 victory for Braintree over Needham. Freshman Peter Brooks added a two-out RBI and senior Jack Fitzgerald hit a homer for the Wamps.
Jimmy Lyver came through with a sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh to give St. Mark’s a 7-6 walkoff win over St. Sebastian’s in Independent School League play.
Conlen Powell struck out nine over a complete game one-hitter, and Lukas Poirier had three hits and three RBI as Shawsheen (13-3) bested Northeast 7-0 in Commonwealth Athletic Conference action.
Robby Seyffert had three hits and three RBI, and home runs by Josh Bouchard, Tyler Ladouceur and Troy Simpson added to the damage for Bellingham (11-6) in an 11-6 Tri-Valley League win over Medway. … Jack Collins fired a no-hitter and was 1-for-3 with an RBI at the plate, while Scott Donahue went 3-for-4 with two RBI in Medfield’s 8-0 win over Ashland.
Joe Coughlan and Mitchell Norkevicius drove in two runs each, and Alden Kangas got the save for Sandwich in an 8-6 Cape and Islands League win against Dennis-Yarmouth.
Charlie Antonopoulos, Jeremy Delacruz, Will Norris and Jack Savio had two hits each as Central Catholic coasted to a 10-0 Merrimack Valley Conference victory over North Andover in five innings.
Jeff Soto dominated from the mound and plate by fanning nine while driving in four RBI and homering, pairing with Justin Peguero’s five RBI to lead Boston English to a 17-1 Boston City League win over East Boston.
BOYS LACROSSE
Hunter Grafton struck for seven goals and dished out three assists as Abington doubled up Braintree 16-8 in nonleague action. … Four goals and an assist from James Murray paced Bridgewater-Raynham (9-5) on senior night, beating Attleboro 12-5
Peyton Volz scored four goals and provided an assist for Southeastern in a 9-2 Mayflower Athletic Conference win over Tri-County.
Drew Bossi and Oliver Rosselli recorded four goals and an assist each to pace St. John’s Prep (15-2) in a 19-2 Catholic Conference victory over Malden Catholic.
In the South Shore League, Lucas Leander finished with seven tallies and six assists as Rockland defeated East Bridgewater 17-11.
Anthony Stillwell sniped six goals and distributed two assists, while Brendan Poirier poured in a hat trick and provided two assists as Rivers downed St. Mark’s 16-9 in the Independent School League.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Charlise Cox netted a hat trick and three others scored multiple goals for Norwell (12-4) as part of a 10-3 nonleague win over Hanover. … Ella Morgado buried the winning goal in overtime, and Abby Pitts finished with five goals for Old Colony in a 10-9 victory over East Bridgewater. … Libby Schiffmann scored the deciding goal to help Cohasset edge Duxbury, 9-8. … Addie Taylor erupted for six goals and Celia Hiller added a hat trick, propelling Apponequet (10-5) to a 16-4 win over Middleboro.
Charlize Collins found the net five times, while Ilex Fowler, Caitlyn Tremblay and Ava Robitaille notched two goals apiece to steer Burlington toward a 15-10 Middlesex League win over Wakefield.
Stella Moore (five goals, assist), Brooke Butler (four goals, two assists) and Ava Adams (four goals) took care of most of the scoring for Mansfield in an 18-11 win over North Attleboro in Hockomock League play.

Bri Ghilardi struck out 13 in the circle, and Nina O’Neil knocked in the deciding run in the seventh inning to lift Silver Lake (16-1) to a 5-4 Patriot League win over Duxbury. … Kaelyn Chase laced a walkoff double to put the cherry on top of a 4-for-5, three RBI performance at the plate and give Hanover (10-6) a 9-8 win against Pembroke.
Ruby Calienes fanned 11 batters and gave up three hits to guide Marblehead in a 12-0 Northeastern Conference win over Winthrop in six innings.
Megan Arruda threw a two-hitter over seven innings, striking out six and yielding one earned run, and Hannah Garcia finished 3-for-5 at the plate as Dartmouth (10-7) rolled to an 11-1 Southeast Conference victory over Brockton.
Marissa Kelly homered, and Caleigh Venuti had two RBI for Apponequet (7-9) in an 8-4 South Coast Conference win over Somerset Berkley.
Isabella Oldoni cranked a two-run home run, and Emma Penniman struck out eight for Triton (15-1) in a 10-3 Cape Ann League win over Lynnfield. … Penelope Riggs remained hot at the plate, batting 3-for-3 with a pair of doubles and five RBI as Manchester-Essex bested Hamilton-Wenham 24-11.
Sam Winterhalter delivered a crucial two-run pinch-hit single in the bottom of the sixth inning as Framingham (11-6) pulled away for a 14-6 win against Newton North in the Bay State Conference. … Susie McAdams (3-for-4, two RBI, three runs), Sienna Kreuzer (3-for-4, two triples, four RBI, three runs) and Brooke Arena (2-for-4, four RBI) paced things offensively, while Sharlotte Stazinski tossed a complete game with 13 strikeouts as Walpole upended Milton 11-3.

Zoe DiAngelis drove in six runs on four hits, and Piper Guiney and Natalie Fotopoulous had three hits each to propel Arlington (12-4) in a 21-8 Middlesex League win over Melrose.
In nonleague action, Maggie Schlossberg struck out 11 and chipped in with an RBI double in the 4-3 win for East Bridgewater over Cardinal Spellman. … Julie Chisholm pitched a complete game shutout, striking out 14 and allowing just two hits as Southeastern beat Greater New Bedford, 1-0.
VOLLEYBALL
In the Greater Boston League, Christyan Berger collected 28 assists and Alex Serrano Taborda had 13 kills and 12 digs as Revere swept Somerville, 3-0. … Karim Chinchilla had 39 assists, while Viet Tran floored 21 kills and Jon Ly notched 18 kills as Lynn Classical (7-11) defeated Chelsea, 3-1.
Barrett Cross distributed 30 assists, primarily to Ryan Lovasco (14 kills) as Essex Tech (9-5) downed Commonwealth Athletic Conference foe KIPP Academy, 3-0.
Vitou Seng (42 assists) stepped in at setter in a big way, finding Ayden Ruom (15 kills) and Walter Palacio (12 kills, 10 blocks) for Lowell (16-1) in a 3-1 win over North Andover to secure the Merrimack Valley Conference title.
