The Boston TV anchor departures just won’t stop.

WBZ’s Kate Merrill, a longtime staple at the local TV station, has reportedly quit after more than 20 years with the outlet on Soldiers Field Road.

Many viewers have wondered where Merrill has been in recent weeks. On Monday, the station confirmed that Merrill is no longer with WBZ.

“Kate Merrill has decided to leave CBS Boston/WBZ,” the station said in a statement to the Herald. “We wish her the best.”

The Globe first reported the news.

“Kate has decided to move on from WBZ,” the company said. “Thanks for the inquiry. We value our loyal viewers.”

Merrill did not immediately respond to the Herald about leaving WBZ.

Merrill’s departure comes after her co-anchor on the morning show, Liam Martin, recently left WBZ and the TV industry.

Martin said he wanted to have a better work-family balance, and he joined a Boston public relations agency.

When Martin left WBZ, the station celebrated him with a goodbye segment on air, along with gifts. There was no such segment for Merrill.

The station did recently celebrate Merrill in March for her 20 years at WBZ.

“We are celebrating a very big milestone this morning,” Breana Pitts said during the segment in March.

“This is so amazing you guys,” Merrill said after being surprised. “I can’t even believe it.”

“You are such a leader in our newsroom,” Pitts said of Merrill. “You’re a mentor. You’re an even better friend, mom, journalist. We’re so lucky to have you.”

Merrill choked up. “I love you guys,” she said.

Just last week, Boston 25’s Vanessa Welch left the station after nine years — and 25 years overall in the industry. Welch said she was planning to spend more time with her family while taking on a new opportunity.
