


GIRLS BASKETBALL
Former Boston Herald Dream Teamer Shay Bollin of Bridgewater-Raynham announced that she would continue her college career at the University of Illinois. One of the top prospects in the country two years ago, the 6-foot-3 forward committed to Duke where she played in eight games last year, averaging 2.4 and 1.0 rebounds a game.
Bollin heads to one of the up-and-coming programs in women’s college basketball. Last season, the Illini went 22-10, their best record in more than two decades.
BASEBALL
In Patriot League action, Jake Schulte threw a no-hitter as Hingham blanked Quincy 8-0.
In Atlantic Coast action, Cam Tetler struck out seven and Tristan Holmes drove in the lone run to lift Plymouth South to a 1-0 victory over Plymouth North.
In a Commonwealth contest, Lukas DeGuire finished 3-for-3 with a double and five RBI to power Mystic Valley to a 13-3 win over Lynn Tech.
In Nonleague action, Mavrick Bourdeau recorded a pair of hits, two runs, two RBI and secured
the save to lead Shawsheen (7-0) to a 7-4 victory over Saugus.
BOYS LACROSSE
Luke Davis was unstoppable, finishing with 10 goals and one assist as Franklin pulled away late for a 19-11 nonleague win over Bishop Feehan.
In a South Shore League tilt, Lucas Leander turned in a 10-point outing (seven goals, three assists), as Rockland rolled to a 17-5 win over Hull. … Hunter Grafton notched 10 goals for over 100 career tallies as Abington took down Middleboro 20-3.
In a Northeast contest, Colby Dunham finished with seven points (6 goals, 1 assist) while Lucas Rotker added five (3 goals, 2 assists) to lead Danvers to a 17-12 win over Gloucester.
GIRLS LACROSSE
Megan Doyle finished her day with seven total points, as Weymouth defeated Bay State Conference rival Walpole for the first time since 2007 with a thrilling 12-10 victory.
In South Shore action, Charlise Cox finished with four goals to lift Norwell (5-1) to a 16-1 victory over Mashpee.
In the Merrimack Valley Conference, Sara MacLeod netted four goals to go with four assists, as Billercia (4-5) coasted to a 15-5 win over Tewksbury.
SOFTBALL
In a South Coast contest, Sarah DelVecchio struck out seven and Zoe Trinque finished with five RBI to lead Apponequet (5-3) past Old Rochester, 14-2.
Delaney Moquin threw a one-hitter while striking out nine as Silver Lake won 12-0 over Hanover in a Patriot League matchup.
In a nonleague game, Nevaeh Eth finished with a double, home run and five RBI to lead Lynn Classical (4-2) to a 20-2 victory over Chelsea. … Molly McDermott smashed two grand slams and 10 RBI as Lowell Catholic defeated Northeast, 13-0.
