BASEBALL

Seth Sullivan and Josh Doney drove in two runs and had two hits each as St. Mary’s (Lynn) (1-0) rolled to a 13-1 Catholic Central League win over Matignon. … Logan Borowicz cranked a three-run homer in a six-run fifth inning as Bishop Stang (1-0) bested Cardinal Spellman, 9-1.

Ben Zscau gave up one unearned run in five innings of work, and Wes Hawley plated the eventual winning run in the sixth inning to lift Silver Lake in a 2-1 victory over Hingham in Patriot League play.

Dylan DiFilippio hit a three-run triple as Lynn Tech (1-0) coasted to a 13-2 victory over KIPP in Commonwealth Athletic Conference action.

In South Coast Conference action, Tyler Kropis fired six innings of shutout ball, surrendering just four hits while striking out eight as Seekonk blanked Case, 8-0.

John Sellon pitched all five innings for Abington (1-0), striking out seven while also driving in four runs at the plate as the Green Wave cruised to a 12-0 shutout of South Shore League rival Rockland.

Eli Sylvia drove in Josh Bouchard to give Bellingham (1-0) a 2-1 Tri-Valley League win over Norton in nine innings.

Charlie Collins threw a complete-game shutout, striking out 10 and giving up just two hits for Natick (1-0) in a 2-0 Bay State Conference victory over Walpole.

Mike Maselli (two hits, three RBI) and Nate Galanis (two hits, two RBI) drove in multiple runs, while Aiden MacLeod allowed one hit and fanned three in four innings pitched as Shawsheen (1-0) secured a 9-5 nonleague win over Saugus.

GIRLS GOLF

Hanley Correia shot a 35 as Bishop Feehan defeated Brookline 167-194 in a nonleague game.

BOYS LACROSSE

In a Catholic Conference showdown, Luke Kelley netted four goals and added a pair of assists, while Gavin Kornitsky turned away 13 shots in the cage to propel St. John’s Prep (1-0) during an impressive 15-7 victory over Xaverian.

In a Middlesex League tilt, Robbie Granara registered a hat trick to go with five assists, helping to propel Reading to a 14-2 drubbing of rival Wilmington.

Tyler Hyland and Joey Salerno netted three goals apiece, while Luke McHugh collected two goals and two assists as Tyngsboro took down Hudson 13-3 in Midland-Wachusett League play.

Eli Chilicki finished with five goals and three assists to boost Berwick Academy past Kents Hill, 13-3. … Owen O’Connor scored three goals and dished three assists, while Chase Field and Matt DeDecko registered two goals each as Barnstable beat Plymouth North, 9-5.

Jayson Kelleher buried five goals, including the game-winner with 1:23 left in regulation, as Bridgewater-Raynham (1-0) topped Bishop Feehan 11-10 in a nonleague thriller. … James Sullivan paced things offensively with five goals, while Charlie Hartwell (three goals, two assists) provided a boost himself as Scituate (1-0) defeated Sandwich 14-6.

Ben Reardon struck for nine goals, while Alex McAndrew tallied four goals as Oliver Ames bested Taunton 19-3 in Hockomock League action.

Hunter Grafton and Patrick Prewitt netted seven goals apiece as Abington (2-0) doubled up Rockland 16-8 in South Shore League play.

Freshman Kam Tremblay netted six goals, while senior Jason Martin sniped five goals to go with two assists as Billerica coasted to a 13-6 victory over Merrimack Valley Conference rival Dracut. …Tommy Farrell (five goals, three assists) and Patrick Roy (three goals, five assists) finished with eight points apiece Tuesday, as North Andover (1-0) erupted for an 18-8 victory over Central Catholic.

GIRLS LACROSSE

In the Hockomock League, Ella Yeaton had six goals and Emily McCabe added four as Canton took down Milford, 13-10. … Erin Cottam (three goals, assist) Cattie Wilson (three goals, assist) and Kayla Magit (two goals, assist) paced the Oliver Ames offense in a 12-7 win over Taunton. … Gabi Consigli netted her first two career goals during a balanced attack effort by Franklin in a 16-1 victory over Attleboro. … Ava Adams turned in six goals to go with a pair of assists, helping Mansfield roll to a 20-2 victory over Stoughton.

Sydney Hannes sniped seven goals, while Katie Guilmette and Lillian Gikas scored two goals each for Tyngsboro (1-0) in an 11-7 Midland-Wachusett League win over Hudson.

Megan Doyle finished with seven total points, and also collected 11 draw controls to pace Weymouth during an 11-5 victory over Scituate in a nonleague contest.

Kelsea McCoy went 4-for-5 with a triple and a double, while Holly Paharik and Caroline DeSimone both homered as Hopkinton (1-0) routed Medfield 20-8 in Tri-Valley League play. … Junior Nina Pacella and sophomore Olivia Klaus each had an inside-the-park home run, helping to guide Medway (2-0) during a big 16-9 win over Millis.

Lexi Mitsiopoulos and Zoey Bradshaw collected four hits each as South Shore Voke blew out Avon 26-1 in a Mayflower Athletic Conference matchup. … Olivia Razza (three hits, two RBI), Mia Harrington (two hits, three RBI) and Ava Matta (two hits, two RBI) paced things offensively for West Bridgewater in a 15-3 win over Holbrook in five innings.

Keely Hannon went the distance with 16 strikeouts, guiding North Reading (1-0) in a 9-4 Cape Ann League victory over Newburyport.

In nonleague play, sophomore Kels Blanchette went the distance with 13 strikeouts and drove in three runs as Lincoln-Sudbury (2-0) outlasted Natick 6-4.

VOLLEYBALL

Setter Tyrell Lout had 26 assists, while Cody Fitzpatrick floored 16 kills as Lowell (2-0) swept Lawrence 3-0 in Merrimack Valley Conference action.
