In the midst of several ongoing investigations into his conduct both during and after his time as commander in chief, former President Donald Trump is proceeding full steam ahead with his campaign for 2024 and has announced a trip to New Hampshire.

“President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will deliver remarks in Manchester, New Hampshire on Thursday, April 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m.,” his campaign said in a Monday afternoon release.

Trump, who was indicted last month and arrested in early April on charges connected to an apparent hush money payment allegedly made to a porn star and former mistress, is currently the leading candidate in the Republican field with 10 months remaining before New Hampshire’s first in the nation Feburary primary

The former president has not let the investigation by Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg, for which he was charged with 34 felonies, the lawsuit by New York Attorney General Latitia James, for which Trump has twice been deposed, or the inquiry by Georgia’s Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, where he was recorded seeking “to find 11,780 votes,” stand in the way of his actively seeking a second term.

According to his campaign, the former president will “deliver remarks on Making America Great Again in New Hampshire.”

This is at least the second trip to New Hampshire for the 45th President, after Trump launched his 2024 campaign at Salem High School in January.

The Republican primary field also includes former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley and former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has not announced a presidential bid but is expected to do so and is widely seen as Trump’s closest competition.

According to polling, Trump is either in a near tie with Biden or will lose to him again in 2024, should both win their primaries.
