The Kowloon Restaurant in Saugus is cooking up a cannabis-infused Mai Tai seltzer. Consider it a cocktail with buzz.

You can’t get take-out and the souped-up concoction to go, but it will be available at some pot shops soon.

“The LEVIA Kowloon Mai Tai seltzer pays tribute to the Kowloon’s Mai Tai cocktail with a fast-acting, expertly formulated infused beverage with an all-natural flavor,” Monday’s announcement stated. The Kowloon is partnering with AYR Wellness Inc., the maker of LEVIA drinks.

The new infused beverage will be available at AYR’s dispensaries across Greater Boston and “retail partners” across the state beginning June 1.

The U.S. lifted some financial restrictions against Cuba on Tuesday, in a move designed to boost private businesses on the island.

The measures will allow independent entrepreneurs to open and access U.S. bank accounts online to support their businesses. Other measures include steps to open up more internet-based services and expand private companies’ ability to use certain financial transactions.

Melinda French Gates says she will be donating $1 billion over the next two years to individuals and organizations working on behalf of women and families globally, including on reproductive rights in the United States.

It’s the second billion-dollar commitment French Gates has personally made in the past five years. In 2019, she pledged over ten years to expand women’s power and influence.
