NextImg:Thursday’s high school roundup/scores: Jack Hawley, North Andover enjoy walkoff win over BC High

In nonleague action, Jack Hawley had the walkoff hit in the bottom of the seventh as North Andover edged BC High 4-3 in nonleague action.

Billerica captain Gus O’Gara scored on a great read off a wild pitch in the ninth inning for a 5-4 walkoff victory over Merrimack Valley Conference rival Chelmsford. Captain Austin Brune (3-for-5) hammered a pair of doubles and scored two runs for Billerica.

In a nonleague contest, Charlize Collins finished with five goals and Elisabeth Delorey added four to boost Burlington to a 18-11 victory over Methuen.

Gavin Kornitsky turned aside 11 shots as St. John’s Prep trounced Billerica, 15-4, in a matchup of two of the top teams in the state. Eleven players scored goals for the Eagles (6-1)

Seniors Abby Kearns (2-for-4 with a triple and four RBI) and Brookie Arena (3-for-3 with three runs) led the offense as Walpole mercy-ruled Oliver Ames 11-1 in five innings in the nonleague matchup.

Sophomore Kayla Goodridge went the distance with 11 K’s while giving up seven hits and going 1-for-3 with an RBI double as Framingham (4-3) downed Milford 6-4 after being down 4-0 after five. … Mady Bryan’s two-run homer in the first set the pace of the game for Silver Lake (6-1) as Sam Waters (3-for-4, three runs and three rbi) and Bri Ghilardi 3-for-4, three RBI) propelled the offense in a 13-1 victory for the Lakers over Apponequet. Delaney Moquin allowed two hits and stuck out 12 to pick up the win.

Pitcher Sam Ryan spun a two-hit shutout as Tewksbury topped Andover, 10-0, during Merrimack Valley Conference action. A southpaw, Ryan struck out five in seven strong innings. Aislin Davis (2-for-4, three RBI), and Abby Tower (3-for-5, two RBI) provided plenty of power for the Redmen. … Senior pitcher Naomi Boldebuck tossed a gem as Billerica edged Central Catholic, 2-1, in MVC play. Billerica took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third, Central tied it in the fifth and then the undefeated Indians (7-0) scored once in the bottom of the fifth for the winning run.
