There have been many presidents who’ve played sports in their college days, and quite a few pro athletes who’ve gone on to a life in politics. But Bill Bradley, a New York Knicks star from  1967-77, attempted a slam dunk with a bid for the White House. He served three terms as a New Jersey Senator, and when this Feb. 17, 2000 photo was taken, had dropped in to the Codman Square Community Health Center during his presidential campaign tour through Massachusetts.
