Worcester Police are investigating three separate incidents of delivery drivers being robbed at gunpoint during the last week.
The first incident happened on Lund Street last Monday, Aug. 12. A male driver told officers that he arrived at the address in the early morning hours and was approached by two males.
As the driver tried to give them change, one of the suspects allegedly pulled out a gun. The suspects left with an undetermined amount of cash.
Then a few days later on Thursday just before midnight, Worcester police officers were dispatched to Doane Street for a report of an armed robbery. The male victim told police that he was delivering food when he was approached by two males.
One reportedly pulled out a gun and demanded the driver’s keys. The victim complied. The suspects stole his vehicle, which also contained his iPhone, wallet and a small amount of cash.
The third reported incident was on Sunday. A male delivery driver arrived on Esther Street at around 9:50 p.m. and was approached by two males, with one of them pulling out a firearm.
They stole an iPhone and an undetermined amount of cash.
No injuries were reported in any of the incidents.
“It is unknown if the same suspects were involved in all three armed robberies,” Worcester Police said in a statement. “The investigation is ongoing.”
