Taylor Swift and SZA are the top nominees for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.

Swift leads the pack with eight total nominations as she looks to win her first-ever Song of the Year award for “Anti-Hero” off her acclaimed 2022 album “Midnights.” The hit is also nominated for Best Pop Song, while its music video has earned nods for Best Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, Best Editing and Video of the Year.

The “Lavender Haze” singer is also nominated for Artist of the Year, along with Beyoncé, Doja Cat, KAROL G, Nicki Minaj and Shakira.

Doja Cat, Kim Petras, Miley Cyrus, Nicki Minaj, Olivia Rodrigo and Sam Smith are all tied with five nominations.

BLACKPINK, Diddy and Shakira have four.

Bad Bunny, who won Artist of the Year in 2022, earned three nominations.

This year’s show will also feature 35 first-time nominees across its categories, including Petras, Ice Spice and boygenius.

Fans will be able to vote on 14 gender-neutral categories through Friday, Sept. 1, while voting for Best New Artist will continue into the show.

The award show will once again return to the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. and air live on Tuesday, Sept. 12 at 8 p.m. ET.

No host or performers have yet to be announced.

In May, the MTV Movie & TV Awards changed radically after host Drew Barrymore dropped out to support the Writers Guild of America strike, leaving the show to rely on pre-taped bits. Minjaj, LL Cool J and Jack Harlow shared hosting duties last year.
