When: Friday Jan. 24 and Saturday Jan. 25 all day long.
Where: All events take place on Lower Bobby’s Run, a long-time revered double black diamond run with a pitch of 26 degrees along its 246 meter length, at Waterville Valley, NH. The bottom of the run has an ideal set-up for viewing; fans can see every moment of every run.
What: Two events will make up the two days of competition – Mogul runs that place individuals against one another for total score wins, and the dual moguls in which two athletes compete side-by-side. Both demand intricate turns and thrilling aerial jumps.
Who: The event will feature 139 top-tier athletes from around the globe, representing 19 countries. There will be a mix of long-time top competitors and newer faces, with many back stories that will be shared throughout the event.
What else: While the men’s and women’s competitions are the center of it all, the event is a full-dive into ski resort – and New Hampshire – culture.
There’s the Rock City shopping experience, a vendor village at the base featuring all kinds of New Hampshire themed businesses, products and food.
There are pop-up bars, special food selections, live music and more.
And of course, you can take in all the other great things Waterville has to offer, from skiing yourself to ice skating, nordic skiing and great food and beverage.
Logistics: Tickets are required and can be purchased ahead of time at www.waterville.com/. General entry is $20; VIP packages are offered as well at a higher price.
Parking is free and shuttles to and from the lots run a loop throughout the event. Dress warm, they advise: you’ll be standing outside on a cold surface, albeit cheering like crazy and having the time of your life.
