A shooting was reported near the MIT Sailing Pavilion in Cambridge on Sunday evening, as police officers swarmed Memorial Drive.

A suspect was taken into custody, according to Massachusetts State Police.

“This evening at approx. 5:15 pm, we received reports of shots fired in the area of the MIT Sailing Pavilion on Memorial Drive in Cambridge,” <a href="https://x.com/MassStatePolice/status/1825299361003188314">Mass State Police posted</a>.

“State and @CambridgePolice responded to the scene and have the suspect in custody,” MSP added. “There is no known public safety threat at this time.”
