Jameson Vallarelli netted a hat trick as Taunton rolled to an 8-3 victory over Oliver Ames in the Hockomock League.

In the Middlesex League, Jack Sullivan netted his first varsity goal and Owen Holland had the shutout as Reading blanked Winchester 3-0. … Luke Galizio scored twice while Domenic Moynihan added a goal and a pair of assists to lead Watertown/Wayland past Wakefield, 4-0.

Anthony Barror scored three times as Beverly downed Gloucester 7-5 in Northeastern Conference play.

Conal Mulkerrin had a hat trick as Hingham shut out Framingham 8-0 in nonleague action. … Devin Lucas and Matt Morelli scored as Braintree knocked off top-ranked Pope Francis, 2-1.

In the MVC/DCL, Jack Baker and Matt Costa (three assists) each scored twice with Jake Costa collected a goal and five assists as Haverhill tripled up Cambridge 6-2. … Tyler Bourgea had four tallies as Tewksbury defeated Acton-Boxboro 5-0.

Ryan Abreau finished with two goals and three assists while Cam Sylvia added a pair of tallies and an assist as Apponequet (4-4) doubled up South Coast Conference opponent Greater New Bedford 6-3.

In the Travis Roy consolation contest, Connor Erdman compiled two tallies and two helpers as Brookline topped Lexington 6-2.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Caroline Doherty led a balanced attack with a pair of goals as Hingham blanked Plymouth 5-0 in the Patriot League.

In the Northeastern Conference, Amelia Spencer, Angie Coscia and Talia Martucci each scored as Riley Towse stopped all 22 shots in a 3-0 victory for Winthrop over Gloucester.

Ava Anderson scored three times and Molly Whittier collected three assists and a tally as Waltham toppled Acton-Boxboro 9-2 in MVC/DCL small action.

Bree Anderson and Sarah Sampson scored as Austin Prep edged Hoosac 2-1 in NEPSAC play.

Christian Pastore scored 14 points as Billerica defeated Chelmsford 54-30 in the Merrimack Valley Conference.

Travis Johnson had 14 points and 15 rebounds while Dray Thiekler added 16 points and five assists as Taunton defeated Yorktown (NY) in the first round of the Hoop Hall Invitational. … Connor Chiarello dropped 25 points while Teddy O’Neill finished with 19 as Swampscott (7-2) rolled over Westerly (RI), 72-56.
