NextImg:Red Sox announce full spring training broadcast schedule

The Red Sox announced their full spring training broadcast schedule on Wednesday, with 23 of the team’s 35 games set to be televised and 31 covered via radio.

NESN will carry each of its 23 exhibition games on either NESN, NESN+ or the NESN 360 app, and ESPN will also broadcast Boston’s game against the Baltimore Orioles on March 3.

The WEEI Red Sox Radio Network will carry each of the 31 radio broadcasts, including 16 games on WEEI 850 AM and 15 games on WEEI 93.7 FM.

All but one spring training game will have either a TV or radio broadcast, with the lone exception coming on Friday, March 14 when the Red Sox play the Miami Marlins across the state in Jupiter. That same day the Red Sox are also hosting a Futures at Fenway South prospect exhibition at JetBlue Park, which will be carried live by WEEI 850 AM but will not be televised.

Other noteworthy dates include the Northeastern University exhibition on Feb. 21 (NESN), the Grapefruit League opener against the Rays in Port Charlotte on Feb. 22 (NESN/WEEI 93.7 FM), the first exhibition against the Yankees on Feb. 24 (NESN/WEEI 850 AM), and the official Spring Breakout showcase against the Rays’ top prospects in Port Charlotte on March 13 (NESN+/WEEI 850 AM).

After the Red Sox break camp, the club’s two-game series in Mexico against Sultanes de Monterrey on March 24-25 will both be broadcast by NESN and WEEI 93.7 FM.
