FOXBORO —  Where would the Patriots have been without Hunter Henry?

The veteran tight end had eight receptions for 109 yards, more than 73% of the Pats’ total passing production in Sunday’s overtime loss to Seattle. Henry set a new career high for receiving yards in the second 100-yard game of his career. He caught more passes than all of the other Patriots’ receivers combined, while earning half of Jacoby Brissett’s targets.

“Getting him back into the rhythm and flow of the offense, he’s a really good player,” Brissett said. “Obviously (he) had a bunch of good plays today, and it’s a lot of fun having him on my side of the ball. I just look forward to progressing that relationship and chemistry and continuing to make more plays.”

Henry’s production was notable in that he missed the last half of training camp due to injury. He was then limited to two catches in the Pats’ season-opening win at Cincinnati. Henry explained his career day by pointing to the Seahawks’ scheme, which afforded him open pockets over the middle and often on out-breaking routes.

“They play a lot of zone, a lot of match zone there in the middle, and we were just able to execute some things,” he said.

Henry’s 35-yard catch-and-run was the Patriots’ second-longest play of the day, a tight end screen he wheeled up the right side. Unfortunately, the Pats had little success targeting anyone else. No other player finished with more than two catches, and the wide receivers combined for three total grabs.
