FOXBORO — Patriots left guard Sidy Sow missed another practice Friday, his fourth straight this week and sixth since injuring his ankle in the team’s preseason finale on Aug. 25.
Sow was the only player missing Friday. His continued absence should rule him out for Sunday’s season opener at Cincinnati.
To replace Sow, the Patriots have rotated backup interior linemen Nick Leverett and Michael Jordan at left guard. Jordan is currently on the practice squad, making him a prime candidate to get called up for Sunday. Earlier Friday, Patriots coach Jerod Mayo indicated the team plans to rotate players at certain positions against the Bengals.
Running back Antonio Gibson (hip) participated after being newly limited on Thursday.
Friday’s practice was non-padded, which is common for end-of-the week sessions leading up to kickoff.
The Patriots will release their final injury report Friday evening.
