FOXBORO — Patriots left tackle Trent Brown and defensive back Myles Bryant were missing at the start of practice Wednesday, the team’s first ahead of Sunday’s season finale against the Jets.
Brown’s absence followed comments from head coach Bill Belichick on Wednesday morning saying he expected Brown to be at practice. The nine-year veteran was a healthy scratch last weekend at Buffalo following weeks of internal frustration with his effort and engagement, per Herald sources. Brown also missed practice last Wednesday due to a reported illness.
Bryant has not missed a practice in weeks. He dealt with a chest injury last week and played the fourth-most snaps of any Patriots defender this season.
The Patriots will release their first injury report of the week Wednesday evening.
