FOXBORO — The Patriots officially will be without rookie wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk and rookie guard Layden Robinson on Sunday against the Jets.
Polk entered concussion protocol late in the Patriots’ Week 7 loss to the Jaguars. Robinson, who started at right guard, was replaced by Sidy Sow early in the game and didn’t return.
Additionally, the Patriots have listed eight players as questionable: DT Daniel Ekuale (abdomen), CB Jonathan Jones (shoulder/personal), G Michael Jordan (ankle), T Vederian Lowe (ankle), LB Raekwon McMillan (back), OL Sidy Sow (illness), LB Sione Takitaki (knee), DE Keion White (ankle).
Polk started Weeks 2 through 6 but was replaced in the starting lineup last Sunday against the Jaguars as drops have plagued his productivity.
Expect Lowe to replace Robinson in a reshuffled starting offensive line. As long as Lowe, Jordan, center Ben Brown, right guard Mike Onwenu and right tackle Demontrey Jacobs are all healthy, the Patriots will have a repeat starting offensive line for the first time all season. That same group of five players also started Week 6 against the Texans.
WR Kendrick Bourne, S Kyle Dugger, LB Curtis Jacobs, LB Anfernee Jennings, S Marte Mapu and RB Rhamondre Stevenson were removed from the injury report.
