FOXBORO — Two potential starting offensive linemen are still banged up four days before the Patriots’ season opener against the Bengals.
Guard Sidy Sow (ankle) didn’t participate in practice, while offensive tackle Vederian Lowe (abdomen) remained limited.
Sow had been the Patriots’ starting left guard all summer before injuring his ankle in their preseason finale against the Commanders. Lowe, who got injured in practice before that game, had been starting at left tackle.
Nick Leverett is a top candidate to replace Sow at left guard, while Lowe’s injury bumped right tackle Chukwuma Okorafor over to left tackle with Mike Onwenu moving over from right guard to right tackle. That thrust rookie Layden Robinson into a starting spot at right guard.
CB Jonathan Jones (hamstring), OLB Josh Uche (foot) and OLB Oshane Ximines (ankle) were also limited in practice.
LB Christian Elliss (concussion), TE Hunter Henry (foot), OLB Anfernee Jennings (wrist) and DE Deatrich Wise (hamstring) were full participants.
