FOXBORO — Patriots left tackle Trent Brown, running back Rhamondre Stevenson and safety Jabrill Peppers were the only players missing at the start of practice Wednesday.
Stevenson (ankle) and Peppers (hamstring) both missed last Sunday’s win at Denver, where Brown was limited to 21 offensive snaps in a rotation with backup Vederian Lowe. The 6-foot-8, 380-pounder has been battling ankle and hand injuries. Brown missed practice last week before playing against the Broncos.
Safety Jalen Mills was present Wednesday, but not in uniform. He played a season-high 62 defensive snaps in Denver. Earlier Wednesday, Pats coach Bill Belichick acknowledged to reporters that the team’s health was a factor when he decided to push the start of practice back to 3 p.m. and inside the team’s indoor bubble.
The Patriots will release their first injury report Wednesday evening.
