FOXBORO — The Patriots signed offensive lineman Jerome Carvin and rookie tight end Jack Westover to their practice squad Wednesday.

Carvin, 24, had previously been on the Patriots’ practice squad from Aug. 29 to Sept. 10. He provides depth at center after the Patriots lost starter David Andrews to a season-ending shoulder injury this week.

Westover, 25, went undrafted out of Washington this spring before signing with the Seahawks. He was released by Seattle with an injury settlement on Aug. 30.

Carvin entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee with the Chiefs in 2023. The 6-foot-3, 308-pounder also has experience at guard.

Westover caught 87 passes for 849 yards with six touchdowns and rushed seven times for 26 yards with a touchdown in five college seasons. The 6-foot-2, 245-pound pass-catcher serves as depth behind Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jaheim Bell and Mitchell Wilcox.

In other practice squad news, former Patriots kicker Chad Ryland signed on with the Cardinals on Wednesday. Ryland was beat out by Joey Slye for the Patriots’ kicking job this summer.
